A friend of my family has been struggling with Lyme Disease for three years now. And I have been helping them so I have learned quite a lot about it. It’s a horrible, debilitating, gut-wrenching, and very controversial disease that has been politicized for a great many very stupid reasons.
So this guy got bit by a tick at age 21 and started showing symptoms of Lyme three weeks after he married his sweetheart. And today we found that she has tested positive for it too.
There’s been no real, solid evidence on whether the Lyme bug can be transferred between partners. Well, it looks like it can.
But there IS evidence that it can go from a mother to an unborn baby. She is not now expecting a child, but the Lyme bug can be difficult, if not impossible to kill completely. Ever.
